About Telecom Central

Telecom Central are a telephone and communication services provider to businesses and organisations across the Midlands and UK.

Telecom Central has been born out of Helpdesk Communications which was established in 2009 by Dave Hamilton who started out buying and refurbishing redundant telecoms equipment and office handsets.

Helpdesk Communications purchased equipment from telecom engineers, leasing companies, auctioneers, liquidators, and IT recycling plants, which were then refurbished to provide maintenance spares for businesses and telecoms engineers.

As the need for communication and connectivity has evolved, we partner with clients to support them with their business communication requirements, providing business telephone systems, broadband, Office Wifi and business mobile phones.

During recent years, we have built up a wealth of experience and a reputation as specialists working closely with Avaya, BT, Gamma, LG, Panasonic, and Samsung which we install and maintain for clients across all sectors.

  • 2009

    Approved Panasonic Dealer

    In 2009, we became an approved Panasonic systems and technology dealer which allowed us to provide flexible and highly reliable business telephone systems to clients.

  • 2011

    Samsung Supplier

    As technology evolved at a rapid pace, we were approved as a Samsung dealer increasing our offering to clients looking to upgrade their business telephone systems.


  • 2012

    Welcome 10th member of Staff

    Due to the continued grow of the organisation, we appointed our 10th member of staff who completed an apprenticeship in (qualification. This milestone was a result of a significant increase in the amount engineering work and number of accounts we were servicing.

  • 2012

    Recycling partnership for over 8 Years

    For over 8 years, we have worked closely with our recycling partner allowing us to responsibly dispose of and recycle the handsets and equipment we remove from client sites. Ensuring we are sustainable and environmentally friendly organisation.


  • 2013

    Acquired new premises

    2013 saw the acquisition of new premises in Witton, Birmingham, to provide much needed storage facilities, testing areas and office space.

  • 2015

    Avaya approved supplier

    By 2015, we were looking to extend the range of telephone systems we could offer to our clients. Becoming an Avaya partner was the right step to compliment the communication solutions we were offering at the time.


  • 2016

    Launch Mobile Offering

    With the growth of mobile technology, we launched our Mobile Phone offering providing clients with contracts, handsets and bundles to compliment their existing telephone and communication systems.

  • 2018

    Offer Gamma Telephone Systems

    We further extended the range of equipment and technology we supply to our clients in 2018 through our relationship with Gamma. We have the ability to offer clients a range of systems to suit their  specific requirements.


  • 2019

    Introduce Office WiFi

    As we continue to grow and become a workplace communications partner to our clients, we introduced Office WiFi and broadband to our offering which compliments the shift to hosted telephone systems.

  • 2021

    Recruitment drive & remote working solutions

    We head into the year focused on remote working solutions for our clients to ensure they are as effective as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic. With our recent growth and recruitment drive we now have more telecoms engineers out on the road supporting clients businesses.
